Srila Prabhupada's Samadhi Mandir Vrindavan, India

Picture
Situated in front of the Krishna Balarama Temple, this samadhi mandir is built from pure marble in honor of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), whose sacred body is entombed here. He entered samadhi in the evening of November 14th during the most auspicious month of Kartika in the year 1977, while surrounded by his loving disciples who were all chanting the holy names of Lord Krishna. There is a great tirobhava mahotsava (disappearance celebration) held here each year just two days after Govardhana Puja. His disciples and followers come from all over the world to attend this important festival.

Income needed & What you can do

We aim to build up a fixed deposit of $200,000 to use the interest for expenses in addition to the donations. This will cover inevitable costs and give an increased cushion for future surprises in the aging structure. Srila Prabhupada's Vrindavan Samadhi Maintenance Fund needs you now! All participation is welcome. No donation is too large or too small. Please choose a convenient method for your personal service to Prabhupada's Samadhi Mandir:
1. Annual commitments to the Fixed Deposit presently vary from $108 to $1,001.
2. A one-time donation as above the amount is unlimited.
3. You can also contribute to the Samadhi for a specific project such as roof repair, arati cost, etc.

How to Help
Whether you wish to give to the Vrindavan Samadhi Maintenance Fund (Fixed Deposit), or to some specific project of the Samadhi, please contact Parvati Devi Dasi (parvati.acbsp@pamho.net
) in Vrindavan. She will let you know the easiest and least complicated way to send your donation if you wish to do so directly, and she will be very happy to answer any other questions you may have.

Tax Deductible Donation for US Residents
If you reside in the United States and wish to claim your donations as a tax deductible donation then your donations need to go through a registered 501c3 Nonprofit organization registered with the IRS.  That is the purpose of the Vedic Community Foundation, Inc. (VCF).  Through the VCF donors are able to contribute cash donations as well as appreciable assets such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds (click here) and other appreciated assets such as property.  There is no cost for this service.   In most circumstances the donor receives a 100% tax deduction of the appreciated value of the asset.  Conversely, if you donate directly to the a non- US charity your donation does not qualify as a deduction.  For additional US tax advantage donation venues please go to the donor center.
